Ebony skin at night. 2014 - 2019.

The Tams-tams of Mount Royal, an event held every Sunday in Montreal, is a gathering place for the city's black community. You can hear the sounds of drums resonating in the hands of musicians, who take turns from late morning until almost midnight. The images  I captured were taken after the night settled, without flash. I found it interesting to observe how a small amount of ambient light can be  reflected on their ebony skins, it is as if they were covered with wax.
